April 11, 2008

Claire continues her recovery from radiation therapy. She seems to be having more good days than bad for now. She has had some difficulties with her "pic" lines due to the condition of her veins. Earlier this week she was experiencing severe pain in her arm (with the line) and they found a blood clot in that area. She underwent a procedure to place a new line in the other arm yesterday and we hope this one will hold up.

She is scheduled for a full brain/spine MRI on May 5th. This picture will determine the success of the radiation therapy. We feel that the results will be positive for Claire. She deserves an opportunity to experience more life. She has been through so much and has fought with such bravery and courage. We are inspired and amazed by this little girl everyday.

Keep her in your prayer and thought (with a little extra on May 5th!!).

Thank you all.

I met Claire with her grandparents yesterday at the Sacramento Zoo and I just want to say that she has stayed in my thoughts since. I had a wonderful conversation with her grandfather whom I gathered the information that she is a strong and courageous little girl. I am grateful for our brief encounter; the reminder of just how precious life is and the ones we love. I will continually check back for updates and hope for positive news.

Hello Claire,

I am so thrilled to hear that you are doing so much better. Do you know that you are in my prayers and the prayers of so many people? God is always hearing about what a special little girl you are (he already knew that) and that so many people love you and want you to be well. I hope that soon you can go back to school and be with all your classmates and start enjoying life the way a 5 year old is suppose to. I love you and hope and pray each day will find you stronger. I will be praying that May 5th will be a day of great joy and that the MRI will show that you are completely healed. May God bless you and your entire family. Love, Mrs. Main

I am from Auburn, CA and to date we only know of one other family in this area affected by Pnet cancer. My son Chris was diagnosed in 2004 with Pnet and well as you know it has been extremely difficult. Chris has permanent damage and we pray everyday that he has the strength to beat this horrible disease. I would love to talk to you. Please let me know if you would be interested.

Take Care,

Michelle Anderson

Keep in mind that everyone has different results. Claire could sail through this with very minimal temporary side effects. You can't compare "apples to apples" because there are too many variations depending on the protocols that were followed. We have a good feeling that Claire will beat this. Looking forward to a healthy future for Claire. God Bless!!!

Been very busy the past month. I have been unable to check in during recent travel outside of the USA, but after getting back to my Marin home, checking this site was the first thing I did. I BELIEVE Claire. A deserved dose of good news is within you. We all must accept nothing less.
