Sorry for the limited updates. I can not sleep tonight and felt the need to just give a quick thought. July 29th was the one year mark of Claire's tragic event. It is hard to believe that a year has passed. During the initial day's there were few that gave us any hope of making it out of the ICU. But here we are. Please continue your thoughts and prayers. I believe your support, prayer, and following has had such a positive impact. The strength you have given us is not measurable.
CLAIRE WILL BEAT THIS. I KNOW SHE CAN! I KNOW SHE IS! WE BELIEVE SHE WILL!

I knew Claire's year annversary was coming up and was thinking about it last week. Yes, it is such miraculous news that she has come this far, but the devastation to Claire and her family is so unimaginably profound. It just should not be happening. I hope you are all taking care of yourselves as best you can. As hard as it is, Shannon and Chris, you need time to be together and relax, and I hope you are managing to fit that in. You really need that not only for Claire, but also for Ryan and Reese. They all love you so much and they would want that for you too.

To my precious Claire and the Miller family,
It has been such a long year, but one filled with many miracles and blessings from God. It was so wonderful to see Claire at preschool on Friday the 13th of July and see her beautiful smile. Claire I do hope and pray that you will be able to attend preschool this next year, at least a few days here and there. Claire, I will not be there, I have chosen to take a message from you and that is life is precious. So I have chosen to retire and spend each and every precious moment I can with my children and grandchildren. Life is such a fragile thing and I want to make the most of what God has left for me to share. You have taught me a very important lesson, yes this precious little child of God's has been the teacher. Thank you and I will keep you in my prayers. You have made it more than a year and I know that God has an important plan for you, keep up the fight and I know you are going to be the victor. Sometimes we all seem to have a special inner strength, when we thought we were out of power, too tired, or just could not go on. The Lord is working thru our friends and their prayers, and thru the prayers of people we have never even met. Claire's stregnth and power come from within, from her family, and from all who love her, and who just love all of God's children everywhere. I pray for her strength and for her daily happiness. She has so many praying for her, and she is our inspiration and guide, too.

Chris and Shannon: I was driving the other day and it hit me that Claire has been going through this Hell for just about a year and I thought to myself, "she's going to make it. I know she will because she has such a fabulous support system." We continue our prayers for all of you and appreciate the effort it takes to update us all. I read this latest entry and feel as though Claire has beaten so many odds, she has come so far in her little life. She can definitely do it, I know she can and have faith in her.
