May 13th

Hello to all Claire's support team,

As many of you know, Claire's April MRI showed no growth or spreading of the disease.

Claire is doing ok. She had surgery last tuesday to insert a gastric feeding tube. She has had some tough times recovering from the first cycle of Maintenance chemo. She was not eating enough to maintain energy or a healthy weight so the gt tube was our option to maintain health. She was scheduled to begin round #2 of chemo on Saturday but her body is not ready at this time. We will be meeting early this week with the Oncology team to address strategy/options.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I hope to have positive news soon. Shannon and I sincerely appreciate the continued support and interest in Claire's progress. I can not say that life is normal or easy for our family. We try to stay positive and remain hopefull for a miracle.

Keep believing with us that Claire will overcome.

Thank you.

Dear Sweet Claire, Shannon, Chris and family, keep up the battle! Claire can make it I just know that she is so determined. I check this site everyday for updates and my heart is with her at all times. She has touched so many lives. Thankyou so much for coming by the gym a few weeks ago it made for a wonderful day seeing Claire and Reese!!! Keep it up Claire, you have so much strength I know you can win this battle too. I cannot wait for you to bring Reese to gymnastics and teach her all the things you know. You have touched my heart in so many ways. There is not a day that goes by where I do not think about you and your family and how strong you all are. Lots of hugs!!!

We went to highschool with Shannon. I have read your web site and prayed for your family for over a year. The web site is filled with so much love and hope. I am overwhelmed by your strength and courage. Our son was born at 24 weeks gestation and weighed 1 lb 12 oz. We were often told his situation was dire. We lived day to day. Today he is a healthy 3 year old. There is hope. We will continue praying for you and Claire.

Arden Little League fundraiser sounds great! "Hit a home run for Claire!"

It's the post season and every home run could bring her support - or every hit & every run could as well.

How about "Ice It" and have all snocones sold at the snack bar go to help Claire? This will get the kids involved, and then passing the hat at each game for the big kids! Hope you get it going, Larivee's.
