November 28th

Claire returned home from UCSF on November 21st. Her first round of high dose chemo with stem cell rescue at UCSF went well and she again showed her amazing strength. She was able to stay at home until Sunday evening when her lethargy and a fever sent her to Sutter Memorial to begin a period of recovery in the hospital. We expect her to remain hospitalized for 10-14 days. As always, keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you all so much for the love and support. It means so much to our family.

We think about Claire every day, several times a day.
Kelsey loves her "Claire" bracelette. And Claire's motto has already helped out in our house. Let's just say Kelsey has had some serious problems with potty training and #2. She now says, "I know I can" and we have had 4 successful days in a row! Thank you so much Claire! We love you little sweetie pie!
Love,
Billy, Tracy, Kelsey, and Wyatt

Hello Miller Family, Just a note to let you know that I think about Claire and all of you everyday. Sometimes at odd moments when I am driving in my car, doing laundry, dishes, I feel such empathy for what your days must be like, and how you must wish for monotony and regular days without the fight. But I believe in my heart, it is the fight that will lead Claire into recovery. There is a reason that although time has passed Claire is still in our minds and hearts. It is because you are a special family with love and strength and support. I feel that strenth when I think of her and pray that her gift will continue to give. We think of you often and love you and your family so much. It will happen for you Claire. Thanks for taking the time to keep in touch with all of us out here. God Bless.

Claire you are one amazing little lady. From what I am reading about you, I bet you are a big spot of sunshine to all the doctors and nurses at the hospital. Thinking of you and your family and praying for you too! Much love and support. I have to tell you that when we were at the Civil War game in Corvallis the other day I kept thinking of you when I saw the Duck fans. It was a great game despite the rain. You have some Beaver fans cheering you on Claire.

Miller Family,

Please know that many in Pleasanton, CA pray for Claire and her whole family. You all are such an inspiration to the rest of us. Shannon your updates are wonderful the are honest full of emotion and insight. I have felt moved to suggest to you that there is a book here that could be written to help parents and families who may go through the same kind of ordeal. I suggest you talk to the Lord about it and see what He says. Love & Good Wishes. Ralph & Betty

Claire, I know I just posted in your guestbook a few days ago, but I have a story to tell you. :)

Yesterday, while I was out running errands, I was constantly thinking about you. When I pulled into a parking space at Target, I got out of my car and saw the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. It was so bright and vivid, and it stretched from one edge of the horizon to the other. I could hardly believe how enormous and breathtaking this rainbow was. I wish I would have had my camera so that I could send you a picture. Anyway, this rainbow made me smile, and I know it was not a coincidence that I saw it when I was thinking about you, Claire. You are beautiful... you are strong... and you know what, Claire? I know you can! :)

Lots of love,
Lana M

Good Morning Claire,

Your Seattle Uncle here. I awoke to a wild storm this morning I thought about you. I looked back at the pictures your mom and dad sent when you were born and all the posting on this page. I smiled when I thought how loved you are, how the path you walk has moved so many.I watched this storm for an hour so many levels but underneath it all was something very strong, focused and powerful. You keep fighting little girl, your a powerful storm, who issn't done by a long shot..Love you all..Michael McGraw
